We achieve this by:

Influencing Arts Policies

  • Organising public meetings to provide information on current arts issues and to exchange ideas in a public forum
  • Promotion of our vision of a Regional Arts Centre in Guildford for visual and performing arts

Initiating Arts Opportunities

  • Organising an annual Art Exhibition at the Yvonne Arnaud Theatre featuring the work of local and national artists
  • Organising Art@Work exhibitions, such as the one at Clyde & Co. and Baker Tilley, Guildford
  • Part-funding the annual Guildford Book Festival
  • Working to find more town centre exhibition spaces for all media
  • Advising on sources of funding for the arts
  • Working with local businesses to improve the cultural significance of Guildford

Publicising Arts Events

  • Our Website (www.GuildfordArts.org.uk) offers links to Member Groups websites
  • Our Newsletter is on-line and is sent termly to 650 members + mailing list, local radio, newspapers, magazines, libraries, colleges, University of Surrey, all GBC Councillors & TIC.
  • Members' event flyers can be inserted in our newsletters for only £25 per mailing (mailings in Jan, Apr & Sept)
